Drew Wheeler is a Sydney based photographer, who loves to tell stories through his pictures. Experimenting with the extensive camera collection his grandfather owned, Drew developed an interest in photography from an early age. He is inspired by making connections with his subjects, and the challenge of seizing a moment in time with them, whilst simultaneously documenting the “in-between” pieces that make up the whole of that moment.
Drew draws inspiration from artists such as Werner Herzog, Theo de Gueltzl and Marton Perlaki; creatives whose ideas and story-telling captures the viewers’ attention with conviction and truth. Drew’s own pictures are truthful and holistic in turn, with an aesthetic that is quite soft in feel, yet brimming with energy.
Drew has worked with clients such as Sportscraft, Air BnB, Harper’s Bazaar, Bailey Nelson, Sheridan, Zara, Dr Roebucks, Softies, JW Anderson, Desire Homme, McTavish Surf and Marie Claire UK, to name a few.
