Zac Bayly has created an instantly recognisable aesthetic, contrasting graphic high flash photography with intimate natural light portraiture, often within wild landscapes.
Inspired by nature, unexpected beauty, and the human form, he has worked with international clients including AnOther, Aries, Bazaar France, Bottega Veneta, Burberry, BUTT, Candy, Double, EYTYS, Fantastic Man, GQ USA, HTSI, JW Anderson, More Or Less, Nanushka, POP, SSAW, The Face, Versace, Vyrao and 032c; and Australian clients including Alemais, Aje, Camilla and Marc, Christopher Esber, Commas, Double Rainbouu, LoveWant, Marcs, Oyster, and GQ Australia.
Zac began his career editing magazines. His experience with celebrated indie titles like Fantastic Man, Candy, and BUTT developed his visual eye and, through interviewing people, his ability to connect with subjects.
He has photographed musicians Amyl & The Sniffers, Flume, Steve Lacy, The Veronicas and Troye Sivan; models Angelina Kendall, Emma Balfour, and Zinnia Kumar; surfers John John Florence and Steph Gilmore; creative directors Daniel Lee and Glenn Martens; and other personalities including Lara Worthington and Rinko Kikuchi.
His debut book, Flash!, was published by Tyrone Lebon’s London-based photography organisation DoBeDo Projects in 2025. In 2024 he joined DoBeDo’s mentorship program as a mentor alongside leading photographers such as Jamie Hawkesworth, Nigel Shafran and Harley Weir, to guide the next generation of photographers.
Zac splits his time between Australia, where he is represented by Artboxblack, and Europe, where he is represented by Drive Represents. He enjoys science fiction novels, birdwatching, and long phone chats with his grandmother about the goings-on in their gardens.
