Photography runs in Rahel Weiss’ blood. Her great-grandmother was a keen amateur photographer, who worked from her home darkroom in Switzerland. Her grandfather also took pictures, and travelled regularly and extensively with his camera. Growing up in the Australian bush, running free through the State forest that bordered her house, Rahel would experiment with the old camera her grandfather had given her mother, and dream about travelling the world like many in her family before her.
Rahel Weiss shoots her subjects with a keen sense of empathy and kindness. She is committed to an ethos of diversity, inclusivity and sustainability, and actively seeks out clients who embody that ethos. For the past decade Rahel has been living and working in London & Paris. She is currently based in Zürich with her husband and young daughter, and enjoys hiking with them in the wilderness that surrounds her.
